NOTE: This packet was originally published in 2012! It was completely overhauled in 2017. Because I enjoy taking a walk down memory lane, I left the original post as-is. ♥
The original post for Fall Match Game:
Since Fall is just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about and printing fun Fall things for my little ones!
During preschool this week, we’re going to start a few of our mornings with this Fall Match Game.
🍂 There are a multitude of fall worksheets and hands-on printable activities here at Mama’s Learning Corner. Browse through all of the color by code worksheets, File Folder Word Walls, writing sentences worksheets, and MUCH more!
How We’ll Use This Fall Match Game in Our Homeschool
On some days, my 3-year-old and I will play a Memory-style match game, but I’ll only use 3-4 of the matches so I don’t overwhelm her.
Other days, we’ll use all of the cards, but I’ll place them face-up just a few at the time. Then she’ll gather matches as soon as she finds a pair.
My Kindergartner and I can play a “real” Memory-style match game, as she’s old enough to remember where specific cards are.
And lastly, I can use this Fall Match Game with my almost 2-year-old. We’ll sit together and say the names of each of the pictures. She’s in the mimic stage of talking (so sweet!) and she’ll love repeating all of the picture names.
This one little set of printable match pieces can be used with three different levels of early learners. Love that!

Celeste
Hi, Lauren! The download link is broken. Or did you intend for it to no longer be available?
Lauren Hill
Hi Celeste! Thanks for letting me know the link isn’t correct. I have MANY of those and I am slowly making my way through them. I’ll try to get it fixed and back up later tonight or tomorrow.
Thanks again! 🙂
Celeste
Thanks so much! As always, I appreciate all that you do. This site is fantastic! 🙂
Lauren Hill
I finally got it up, Celeste, so you should be able to download now. Thanks for your patience! And your kind words. 🙂
Kate
Hi. I printed out the fall matching game because it said free printable, but to purchase for classroom on teachers pay teachers, but I can’t seem to find it on teachers pay teachers.
Thank you.
Lauren Hill
Kate, you are so thoughtful (and honest!) to pay for the match game. I inadvertently put the wrong license in the download packet. It is for personal and classroom use, so please feel free to go ahead and use it in your classroom.
I’m sorry I made that error and I appreciate you pointing that out to me! 🙂
Thank you so much! xo

What a cute set!
I will probably pair these up to make a set for “I have …. who has ….?”
My pre-reading kindergarten students love these and picture prompts let everyone play.
Lauren Hill
I always love to hear how others use the printables I create. So many WONDERFUL ideas! I appreciate you sharing!
I hope your young ones enjoy!
