As most of you know, we are avid readers here at the Hill House!
One of my daily, big-picture goals is for my children to love and adore reading.
To foster that love of reading, we visit the library often and have a well-stocked home library, where books are always available.
Below, you’ll find links to several categories:
Book Lists for Kids
We often read books in batches, unit study-style. So it’s not usual for us to read a ton of books about apples or several books about snow.
Books in these lists focus on Preschool to Upper Elementary age children.
When you click over to the Book Lists for Kids, you’ll find an easy guide to our favorite books.
Favorite Read Alouds
Ever since reading Strawberry Girl aloud to my children several years ago, we’ve been hooked on reading aloud together!
Find all of our favorite read alouds on this page and go reserve them at your library!
Know that I have personally read each of these books, in addition to all of my other book recommendations. I would never suggest a book that I haven’t read, since there is sometimes questionable content in books.
The newest recommendations are at the top of the page.
Book Lists for Moms
Although I don’t get to read as often as I’d like, I do read steadily throughout the week, even if it’s only in bits and pieces!
I read a variety of books mostly in the Homeschooling, Homeschooling Continuing Education, and Bible Study categories. Occasionally there’s a bit of fiction thrown in, but that’s pretty rare in this season of life for me.
I’ve separated my favorites into categories, so go take a peek and find a new-to-you read!
