I try to incorporate writing into as many activities as I can during our homeschool day.
These short writing prompts are perfect for my kiddos when they are in Kindergarten and First Grades. They only require a couple of words or one complete sentence.

If you’re young learner is still too young to write the responses, simply have her draw the picture and you be her scribe.
She can dictate the words or sentence to you, and you can show her correct letter formation and demonstrate the parts of a sentence.
Small, short writing assignments such as these are an easy way to incorporate grammar, capitalization, end marks, and even spelling.

This set of writing prompts contains 3 Fall-themed writing ideas for early learners.
Each prompt is simple and asks your child to draw a picture describing the prompt. Then he is instructed to write a couple of words or a simple sentence about the given theme.
