I have a homeschooling mom confession:
♥ I am not having a Pinterest Perfect Crafty Christmas here at the Hill House. ♥
But aren’t homeschooling moms supposed to do everything perfectly?
And even worse is that I’m a blogger.
Bloggers are supposed to have beautiful pictures of their beautiful homes and their beautiful children doing original, breathtaking crafts, right?
A Crafty Christmas

I just can’t make those breathtaking crafts happen this year.
In fact, just this past Saturday night, I found every possible Christmas-y craft I could find at Michael’s and purchased every one. Every one!
Sure, we will do a few chalk pastels and my little girls will decorate a few felt Christmas Trees. But this year, I just don’t have the time and energy to put into thinking up super creative crafts, running to the store to pick up supplies, and figuring out where they will go in our Christmas School.
Instead, my girls will work on a plethora of Christmas sun catchers, foam sticker gingerbread houses, and putting together no-mess glitter ornaments.
I have no doubt that they will adore every second of it! Their idea of a perfect day is sitting around the school table, working on a fun craft while their mama reads them a good book.
And honestly? It’s my idea of a perfect day, too.
It’s much more important for my kiddos to have a calm and peaceful mother and do store-bought crafts, than a frazzled mom who just wants to get to the next thing. That’s no fun for any of us!
Believe me, I’ve been that frazzled mom one too many times, and this year I’m intentionally choosing peace.
Please join me, Mamas.
