Each of my girls had a love for scissors at very young ages. Instead of avoiding scissors because of the safety aspect, I’ve always tried to find child-safe scissors and age-appropriate activities for them.
They’ve experienced lots of craftiness in their short lives!
I created this 10-page packet of scissor skills worksheets so they could cut and then and cut some more. What a fun way to practice cutting skills for them!
✂️ Browse through a variety of Scissor Skills Worksheets and Activities here at Mama’s Learning Corner! You will find a variety of styles and varied themes.
10-page Printable Scissor Skills Packet
This packet is just right for your children that love to cut! Some pages have a theme such as a tool box or a picnic basket.
A few others are simply shapes with dotted lines.
Any and all cutting practice for young leaners is beneficial to help them with fine motor skills!
These activities are perfect to go ahead and print out and have a stack ready when your children show interest.
These are also the types of activities I have a steady stack of to hand to my little girls when I’m trying to do something that requires quiet and concentration with my older two. Often times, they are happy to sit and cut while we work on reading or math, thankfully!

I can’t get any of the preschool packs to print. Were they only available for the week that they were posted? Or am I doing something wrong?!?!?! HeLp!
Lauren Hill
Oh they’re definitely still available! I just tried to download one and it works perfectly on my end. Maybe try using a different browser? They’ll be up at least another month for any and all to access. 🙂
Camille
Thank you so much for sharing these with the rest of us. They are attractive, and I am sure will be appealing to my students. how generous of you to provide us with ten of them!
Lauren Hill
Camille, thank you for your nice words! And I’m thrilled your students can use and enjoy them.
Thank you for stopping by today!
Angie
I am so glad you still have these available, thank you! My daughter loves both the ABC letter finder and the scissors skill packets. We don’t use the other 3 packets since I only have a black and white laser printer at the time, but I greatly appreciate the ones you have made and are sharing with us.
Lauren Hill
Thrilled you can use them, Angie. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
Courtney
Not sure if I was the only one with the problem, but when I printed these only some of the lines showed up? Maybe my browser (chrome)? When I download it’s all there just printing came out missing…
Lauren Hill
Hey Courtney! I frequently hear this exact problem from readers that aren’t using the latest version of Adobe Reader (free) to open the pdf.
So try using Reader and see if that makes a difference. If not, let me know and I’ll help you troubleshoot! 🙂

Lauren,
I came across this looking for some cutting practice for my 4-year-old and I was like, Hey! I remember her! From Mama’s Laundry Talk, right? I think we met at a Blissdom. 🙂 I was Vanderbilt Wife then.
Thanks for making these available!
