My oldest girl (2nd grade) still loves cut and paste worksheets, whether it’s ABC order or her All About Reading activity. She loves them all!
So she’ll be thrilled when she gets to do these ABC order worksheets over the next couple of weeks!
ETA 2022: This set of worksheets was created 7 years ago, so it was in dire need of a freshening up! I updated the layouts and fonts and tweaked the graphics a bit. Please re-download the updated version and enjoy it all over again!

The Resurrection of Christ: ABC Order Worksheets
This 4-page set of cut and paste worksheets are perfect if your kiddos need to practice ABC order, but are not fans of the physical act of writing.
Plus, I love it when my children can practice anything in a hands-on way! Yes, handwriting and developing legible penmanship is very important in the early learning years. I have found, however, that an intense focus on only handwriting can lead a lack of understanding in other skills if it is pushed too hard.
Occasionally, there are bigger fish to fry than just practicing handwriting. 😉
These worksheets also provide a great opportunity to talk about the death and resurrection of Christ as we head into the Easter season. Make sure your child knows how every vocabulary word on the page relates to Jesus dying on the cross.
These worksheets can be great discussion starters!
After printing the ABC order worksheet, your child will cut off the left column of Resurrection-themed words.
Then he will glue them in the correct alphabetical order in the right column.
There are several opportunities to alphabetize to the second letter of the words.
If you do have the need to work in some extra handwriting practice with your child, simply have him paste the words into alphabetical order. Then have him copy the words on a piece of paper in ABC order.
This is also an excellent chance to work in some phonics practice if your children still need quite a bit with of reinforcement with spelling or are beginning or early readers.
