Christmas Directed Draw and Write Worksheets
If this type of learning idea is new to you, here’s how these printable activities work:
— Your child draws the picture step-by-step in the large drawing area, using the pictures to guide their drawing.
— After drawing the initial picture (an ornament or sleigh, for example), your child is welcome to draw any other embellishments in the drawing box.
— Lastly, your child uses words from the word bank to write at least one sentence about the picture.
Elementary students need multiple varied opportunities to learn to write sentences well. Capitalization, punctuation, and spelling must be practiced during the early elementary years, and these worksheets are a unique way to work on sentence structure.
Allow your child to have as much independence as possible with writing the sentences. For activities such as this, my daughter will often ask if her sentence is “okay.” This is a great pre-check to make sure the sentence has a complete subject and predicate, and an opportunity to add any adjectives or adverbs.
After your child writes the sentence, take the time to go over the verb, the subject, and any grammar concepts that your child might need extra reinforcement.

You’ll find elementary ruled lines as well as plain lines included for each picture.
I think you could use this with children as young as Kindergarten, and even up to 3rd or 4th grade if sentence writing is still a struggle.
