Are you a You Tube fan? I sure am. You can find anything there!
Since I started Mama’s Learning Corner back in June 2011, I’ve only recorded a handful of videos. My biggest trouble was that I couldn’t find user-friendly (read: simple) video editing software.
But woo hoo! I was able to find software for those of us that aren’t die-hard technical people, so here I go!
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been thinking a lot about our homeschool life. We’re only in our 6th year of homeschooling, and WOW, do I have so much still to learn.
But in those 6 years? I’ve also gained an incredible amount of experience and wisdom in running our homeschool and setting goals and priorities for our home and homeschool.
When we first decided to school our children at home, I really had no idea where to begin. Choosing curriculum, trying to figure out what our day should look like, and all of those unknowns were overwhelming to me.
What I needed (and still need!) is a mother in the season of life ahead of me to take me by the hand and guide me just bit.
I needed encouragement in those early years. I needed to know that homeschool does not have to look like public school. I needed advice on choosing curriculum and what a homeschool routine looks like.
And I needed someone to build me up and hold my hand a bit, while assuring me that I could educate my children and educate them well.
Does that sound like you?
Does that description sound like the stage of life that you’re in?
You’re possibly new to homeschooling and feel overwhelmed? Or you’ve been homeschooling awhile, but you’re definitely not thriving during your homeschool week?
Some weeks we don’t thrive here at the Hill House either. Some weeks are just survival mode.
If you’re in need of some homeschool encouragement, or if you’d like more practical tips and how-to’s so your homeschool can run more smoothly, make sure you stop by my newly updated You Tube channel!
As I say in the video, I definitely don’t have all of the answers to leading a smooth and peaceful homeschool life 100% of the time. I have a tremendous amount yet to learn in the homeschooling and mothering departments.
But I’m happy to share with you what I have learned over our past 6 years of homeschooling.
So follow along with me on You Tube! I’m publishing a video most weeks (3-4 per month is my goal) on either Monday or Tuesday.
Make sure you click the red subscribe button in You Tube so you don’t miss anything!
And of course email me if you have a question you’d like me to answer or you have an idea for a video. I’d love to hear from you!
