Hi there, Friends! So many of you downloaded the Spring Directed Draw and Write Worksheets I published last week. I am glad your young ones loved them!
I have a lot of clip art sets that are seasonal and holiday themed, so I’ll have many more packets for you in the coming weeks and months.
This week, I have an Easter Directed Draw and Write set for you to download.
Click here to browse through all of the Christian Easter worksheets and printable activities here at Mama’s Learning Corner.
Easter Directed Draw and Write Worksheets
As I wrote in the Spring Directed Draw and Write post, it is important for young ones to compose and write a sentence independently. Using correct capitalization, punctuation, and grammar are learning essentials in the early grades.
These worksheets do a fine job of practicing a plethora of skills – fine motor practice, handwriting, sentence composition, grammar practice, parts of speech, spelling, and more.
Each page in this packet focuses on one Easter themed picture. Your child draws each picture according to the steps outlined.
Using the included word bank, your child then writes a sentence or two about the picture.
You’ll find elementary ruled lines as well as plain lines included for each picture.
I think you could use this with children as young as Kindergarten, and even up to 3rd or 4th grade if sentence writing is still a struggle.
Before you ask, no, we do not do Easter baskets or the Easter bunny here at the Hill House. I think I’ve only published one packet ever that was bunnies/chicks/baskets.
This packet does include those secular Easter elements, so just make a note of that if Easter bunnies aren’t your thing.
This packet includes 3 Christian Easter drawing pictures and 7 secular Easter drawing pictures.
Just print whatever agrees with your family’s beliefs!
Directed Drawing pictures include:
- Church
- Cross
- Easter Lily
- Baby Chick
- Carrot
- Chocolate Bunny
- Easter Basket
- Easter Bunny
- Easter Egg
- a Peep
The packet includes 10 worksheets with elementary ruled lines and the same 10 worksheets with plain lines for older students. Just print the 10-page set that is best for your children.
All Access Pass members can download this entire 20-page packet in the All Access Pass area.
After you log in, choose the All Other Holidays page and scroll down until you see this particular worksheet packet. Then just click and your download will start immediately.
This free packet has now expired.

Hi Lauren,
Hope you are staying safe. I know you said you mentioned above you do not do baskets and bunnies. We do not do Easter Bunny either, we always celebrate the Resurrection. Curious as to how you do celebrate Easter.
Thanks for all the posts and resources!

Hey Jessica!
I’m really sorry for my late reply!
Actually, we did do Easter baskets for my kids for 2-3 years, and the Lord convicted both my husband and me that they were just unnecessary. They took away from the meaning of Jesus’ death and resurrection on the cross for our family, and we didn’t feel a need to do them any longer. My big kids don’t even remember them, so they’ve never missed them.
We do, however, dye Easter eggs. I know that seems contradictory because eggs have nothing to do with Jesus’ death either. We just dye plain eggs, drawing on them with crayons before dyeing them. We also make eggs for one another. For example, if I make one for my son, I’d write his name in crayon, draw a cross, write a Bible verse, or write adjectives that describe him and who he is in Christ. I did this as a child, and we continued the tradition with my own children. We really enjoy it. But my kids are fully aware this doesn’t have anything to do with Jesus and Him sacrificing his life for us. 🙂
On Good Friday, we attend the service at our church. On Easter Sunday, we go to worship as usual and then eat a big lunch/dinner with my parents who are local. It’s a relaxing, lovely day that we spend outside with one another.
In the days leading up to Easter, we study that portion of Scripture together as a family.
That’s about it!
