Finally – we’re to the end of the nursery rhymes for this week!
Hey Diddle, Diddle is a nursery rhyme that all children enjoy. It’s lilting rhythm and silly phrases make it fun to say over and over!
Even though Hey Diddle Diddle is often associated with toddlers and young preschoolers, make sure you don’t skip it for your older Preschoolers – First Graders.
They are sure to enjoy it too!
Hey Diddle Diddle Nursery Rhyme
Without a doubt, one of my girls’ favorite nursery rhyme activities are the sequencing cards! They love to re-tell the rhyme, holding up the cards as they get to their portion of the rhyme.
The sequencing cards, cutting pages, and Find It! game are always a hit with my girls.
In this next picture, the girls are at the end of the rhyme where ‘the dish ran away with the spoon.’
As a result, the dish and spoon are “running” right off of the table!
