Besides spending time with God through prayer and Bible study, I have found that the best use of my time in light of eternity is being available to my family.
Sitting on the front porch drinking coffee while discussing the goings on of the world, washing dishes and talking about getting married, walking around the block while listening to the worries of the day, eating ice pops with my 4-year-old and laughing over the jokes on the stick.
All of those things require that I be present physically and mentally. I can’t fill up my time with too much on my to-do list. If I do, I don’t allow time for all of these important conversations.
Motherhood is such a blessing and a very fleeting time of life. I don’t want to miss it because I’m preoccupied with other things.
Being a mother matters.

I love this, Lauren. Thank you!

Oh thank you, Sunny! They were just a few quick thoughts off the top of my head. Nothing fancy. 🙂
