Helping my children memorize multiplication facts through the years has been a struggle. A few of my children have been horribly resistant to memorizing their math facts. Frustratingly so, in fact!
But all of my various strategies and methods to help my children retain those facts is a post for another day.
When possible, I try to make their learning more “fun.” Yes, there is definitely a time and place for flash cards and drill work in our homeschool. They get a fairly steady diet of those methods, since they have proven effect for centuries. However, I do try to add in a bit of variety!
Even though my 4th grader has memorized her multiplication facts (mostly), I have found that she needs a fairly constant review of them in order for them to hang around in her long-term memory.
As one of those many added reviews, I created this set of multiplication practice facts booklets for her to work her way through.
ETA March 2024: This post was originally published in November 2018. I left most of the original text of the post intact, but completely updated the multiplication practice facts booklets and the pictures in this post.

Multiplication Practice Facts Booklets for 2 to 12
Each of these booklets features the same style, working on one particular multiplication table at the time. They’re in the beloved half-page mini booklet style, which all of my children have adored through the years!
Each booklet has the same worksheets included:
→ Skip Counting by Table – fill in the blank with the missing numbers
→ What’s the Word? – fill in the blanks with the correct wording – product or factor
→ Match the Facts – match each multiplication fact with the correct product
→ Skip It! – use a pencil to follow the skip counting pattern through the maze of numbers
→ Find the Product – write the correct answer in the horizontal equations
→ Color By Code – solve the equation and then color the picture according to the given code
→ Draw and Write – draw the correct array according to the directions and write a corresponding equation
→ Multiplication Wheel – multiply to complete the wheel
→ Fill It In! – write in the missing factors
→ Solve It – solve the vertical equations
→ Crack the Code! – solve the vertical equations, then solve the code using the assigned letters
→ True or False? – determine if the multiplication equation is correct and circle the correct response
→ Read and Solve – a set of 3 reading word problems for students to solve and write a corresponding equation
Of course the color by code and crack the code pages feature a new picture to color and puzzle to crack in each booklet.
Ideas for Using these Multiplication Practice Booklets
I always love having a few ideas for using something new in my homeschool. Here are a few to get you started:
In a homeschool setting: Use these booklets for targeted review of multiplication facts. Place in your child’s workbox, use a few pages each day after flash card review, or assign during scheduled breaks to keep multiplication facts fresh!
My daughter will work through the booklets, one at a time, and then probably go back through all of them again.
ETA: This is exactly what we did, plus going through them one more time for a total of three times through!
In a school setting: These booklets are perfect for assigning a few pages each day for morning work or for homework. Send home in book bags for school breaks or use in a math center.
They would also work well for those weeks you aren’t actively working on multiplication to keep those math facts fresh in their memories!
How to Assemble the Math Booklets
This set of multiplication facts booklets are easy to assemble. In fact, just print and provide scissors and let your children make their own booklets!
Each page has a dotted center line, indicating where your child should cut.
Assemble the numbered pages in the correct order, and staple down the gray line on the left-hand edge.
Simple!
