In the United States, Presidents’ Day is celebrated on the third Monday of February. As you prepare your teaching lessons for this federal holiday, incorporate this Presidents’ Day Vocabulary Word List. You might also know this holiday as Washington’s Birthday, which is the official name.
Use this list as a word bank, for spelling help, assign writing prompts, or use it for brainstorming. You could also have students choose 1 or 2 unfamiliar words from the list and write their definitions or research using available textbooks.
