Description
Fall Writing Booklet with Picture Dictionary
This Fall Writing Booklet with Picture Dictionary is a unique way to incorporate writing into your daily schedule. It’s especially fun if you’re working on a fall themed unit study!
Kindergartners – 3rd graders will enjoy using the picture writing prompts to explain their knowledge about the season of fall.
How do students use a writing booklet with picture dictionary?
Children assemble their booklets, using the writing lines appropriate for their level.
Using the picture dictionary, they write 1-3 sentences about each picture prompt as their ability allows. They also draw a picture about the writing prompt, if desired.
Note that the picture drawing area is intentionally smaller in this packet, compared to previously published booklets.
Detailed instructions for use are included!
This writing packet contains:
→ Picture Dictionary in color and in black and white
→ Writing booklet with cover, using primary lines
→ Writing booklet with cover, using standard writing lines for older elementary learners
→ Extra pages for each writing style for you or your students to include their own vocabulary words
→ BONUS: Detailed ideas for use in your homeschool or classroom setting!
Use writing booklets in your writing stations, center rotations, emergency sub plans, or send home for “fun” work.
Writing Booklets are a fantastic way to evaluate your students’ working knowledge about a subject, in this case, the fall season. Use them at the end of your unit study or as a writing framework throughout your readings and study!
Make sure to discuss your children’s writing, as this is where the rich conversations take place! ♥
This packet is for personal use with your own children or grandchildren or for classroom use for 1 teacher only.
