Description
My themed worksheet packets for Kindergarten and First Grade are a neat way to add another layer of learning and engagement to your unit studies!
While these worksheets are written for the Kindergarten and First Grade levels, they are adaptable for varying skill levels.
When studying a specific topic, my children always want to learn more. It’s even better when our current skills are included in our written work to tie learning and curiosity together in one package.
What are themed worksheets?
When working through a unit study – strawberries, apples, Fall, Christian Easter – I make my children a set of worksheets that extend our learning using those particular themes.
I often make a notebook of just these themed printables so they can have their own “fun” notebook to work on during down time, or instead of some of their other usually assigned work.
Most worksheets focus on phonics, reading, math, following directions, or finding a pattern.
Each 15-20 page packet also includes a few Just for Fun worksheets as well – mazes, word searches, or maybe a crack the code-style page.
How can I use themed worksheets?
If you’re using these pages in your homeschool, you can place in your child’s daily workbox, use for extra fun practice pages, or bind them to create a personalized notebook for your child to work through.
If you’re in a classroom setting, these packets are the perfect complement your unit study theme, to place in your centers, for emergency sub days, for early finishers, or to send home for skill reinforcement.
