Stamp and Write Long Vowel CVCe Booklets
This set of long vowel CVCe Booklets is a unique, hands-on way to practice sounding out and spelling CVCe words.
This download contains 5 booklets: one for the vowels A, I, O, and U, and one booklet using a variety of vowels.
Long vowel E is not used in this set of booklets since there are so few words that use the CVCe pattern with the long E sound.
Each long vowel booklet contains a cover page, 10 CVCe pages, and an ‘I can read…’ Page.
The cover page should be first and then ‘I can read…’ Page should be last. The other CVCe pages can be in the order you and your child choose.
After printing, cut each page in half along the dotted lines. Then staple down the grey edge to make a book.
Once your students have completed the stamping and writing activities, they can color the pictures.
The letter area to stamp in each booklet is a 1″ square.
