This set features 9 common American symbols with multiple facts about each symbol.
For example, the pages about The Great Seal include the following facts:
1.) The Great Seal of the United States is the official coat of arms for the U.S. The seal is used on official documents.
2.) The Great Seal is a round piece of metal with designs on both sides. It was approved by Congress in 1782.
3.) The Great Seal features a bald eagle. It holds an olive branch in one talon symbolizing peace. The other talon holds arrows of war.
4.) The Great Seal has the original U.S. motto: E pluribus unum. It is a Latin phrase that means “one out of many.”
