I just celebrated my ‘Trimaversary’ on January 17th (oh yes, that is a real thing), and since eating the Trim Healthy Mama way, my eyes have been opened to the World of Smoothies.
And since I have come to know and love smoothies, so have my children!
This particular recipe is one of their favorites, with or without the oatmeal topping.
Note that this is not THM friendly. I have directions in this post to make it THM friendly, so keep reading!

This smoothie makes a great add-on to breakfast, or is a nice change of pace at snack time.
I sneak in flax seed and a tablespoon of cottage cheese to add some protein, and my children never know the difference.
You can certainly leave those two ingredients out if you don’t have them on hand, but it’s not nearly as filling for those hungry stomachs.
A few notes:
♥ If you’re gluten free, make sure you use gluten free oats. I have Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Oats on Subscribe and Save at Amazon. We love them!
♥ To make this Trim Healthy Style for you, use 1 1/2 teaspoons of Pyure or THM Sweet Blend, or enough for your liking. You’ll also need to substitute my beloved 0% Oikos yogurt for the regular yogurt in the recipe. I’ve used strawberry or vanilla yogurt with success. I also eliminate the peaches when making it for myself. The banana and the oats make it an E.
