Hidden pictures are a favorite here at the Hill House! My 6 year-old was beyond thrilled when I asked her to help me with this Summer Hidden Pictures packet.
She was my editor – with highlighter in hand – and took her job very seriously!
This set of summer hidden pictures will be a great boredom buster this summer! I also have several more neat ways to use these printable pages, so keep reading for those.
Also, there’s a freebie at the end of the post, so make sure you don’t miss that!
Summer Hidden Pictures
Each hidden picture scene in this 13-page packet contains 10 different objects to locate. Search each corner of the picture, because some of the objects are quite tiny!
Some of the pages contain everyday objects, while a few of the hidden pictures use letters or numbers as the objects to find.
The pages are intentionally black and white so your child can color the picture once they’ve found all 10 objects.
Each picture in this 13-page packet displays a different summery theme, including:
★ Family picnic at the park
★ Sunny sunflowers with fence
★ Surf’s up at the beach!
★ Field of flowers with animals
★ Row of beach houses near the shore
★ Camping out – girl with tent and boy cooking on campfire
★ City in the summer
★ Cabin at the lake with boy roasting marshmallows
★ Summery back porch
★ Girl swimming in pool with float
★ Boy fishing at lake house
★ Lighthouse with boat in the water
★ Girl riding bike in neighborhood
Ideas for Using Summer Hidden Pictures
Whether you’re a homeschooler, a teacher in a traditional classroom, or a mom looking for extra activities for her young ones, here are a few ideas!
— Use as boredom busters during the summer – on rainy days, the crazy hour right before dinner, when it’s just too hot to go outside, or for the long car ride during vacation.
— If you’re a homeschooler: place several copies in your child’s workbox for the week, put in your child’s Calendar Notebook, use as an activity for the youngers while you’re working with an older child, or keep a set ready in the “fun stack” of papers.
— If you’re a teacher in a classroom setting: use for early finishers, place a few in bookbags for fun work over the summer, use in your centers, or use in your small groups to reinforce vocabulary or numbers/letters.
Note that this packet is for personal use or classroom use for 1 teacher only.
