Thrifty Thursday – January 5, 2023

Hello Friends, and welcome back to Thrifty Thursday!

High inflation and the country’s current economic woes cause almost all of us to cut corners, and that includes our homeschool budgets.  Since many of us are now looking for cheaper ways to homeschool, I am starting a new type of post here at Mama’s Learning Corner: Thrifty Thursday.

You can expect to see a list of homeschool freebies, deals, and discounts each week all wrapped up in a nice neat post each Thursday.

Like you, I need to make every dollar stretch!  If you know of a greet freebie, homeschool deal, or discount, please make sure you leave it in the comments below!

Each Thursday, I will also list one of my products at $1.  You won’t need a coupon, but you will have to take advantage of the discount quickly, as it will only be a $1 on Friday until midnight Eastern!

One of my favorite children’s books, James Herriot’s Treasury for Children, is currently 48% off!

My 5 year old son and I read from this lovely book every couple of weeks.  The stories focus on Dr. Herriot’s veterinary journeys and often include cats and dogs.

The heartwarming stories become even more endearing with the book’s beautiful illustrations.

It will always be a treasure on our bookshelf!

5.) Vegetable 3-Part Cards

Are you familiar with 3-part cards?  They are a wonderful way to practice vocabulary, word recognition, phonics, and more.

6.) Free Penguin Packet

This free penguin packet from All About Learning has several activities your children will love!  I am downloading and printing (as I type) the Penguin Rhyming Activity in this packet.

There is also an alphabet activity, word searches, a penguin fact book, and more.

7.) Free Printable Paper

I have used this site for years and years to download free printable paper.  You will find everything from graph paper in various sizes to sheet music staffs to checkbook registers.

The variety is amazing!
